Terms of Service
Article 1 (Purpose)
These terms set out the conditions for using the IYAGI app (the "Service") provided by (to be announced) (the "Operator"), and the rights, duties and responsibilities of the Operator and its users.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- "User" means a person who agreed to these terms and signed up for the Service.
- "Suggestions" means the daily list of other users that the server shows you based on tastes, languages, country, age band and activity.
- "Saying hello" means sending a first message to a suggested person, which opens a conversation.
- "Points" are the in-app unit used to say hello. They have no cash value and cannot be used outside the Service.
Article 3 (Effect and changes)
These terms are published in the app's About screen and on this page. The Operator may change them within the limits of applicable law and will announce changes in the app at least 7 days before they take effect (30 days for changes that are unfavourable to users or material). Continuing to use the Service after the notice counts as agreement. If you do not agree, you may delete your account.
Article 4 (Sign-up and eligibility)
- Only adults may sign up: 19 or older in Korea, or the age of majority where you live (at least 18). Your birth year is checked at sign-up (age by calendar year).
- You sign up by SMS phone verification. One phone number, one account.
- Signing up with someone else's phone number or false information is not allowed and may lead to deletion of the account.
- Residents of the EU, EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland cannot sign up at this time.
Article 5 (Account and security)
Your account is personal and cannot be transferred. When the same phone number is verified on a new device, you are signed in to the existing account if it was active within the last 45 days; otherwise, because the number may have been reassigned, a new account is created and the old one becomes dormant.
Article 6 (The Service)
- The server builds a daily suggestion list (10 people a day, refreshable 3 times a day).
- You may say hello to a suggested person; the recipient may reply or decline, and a reply continues the conversation.
- Conversations are text only. There is no photo, video or voice transfer and no translation.
- The Operator may change features and numbers to operate the Service and will announce important changes in advance.
Article 7 (Points)
- You receive 100P at sign-up and 30P on your first connection each day (once per UTC day).
- Saying hello costs 10P. Points are not refunded if the recipient declines, does not reply, or the conversation ends.
- Points have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money.
- When top-ups (watching ads or purchases) open, their conditions will be announced separately. Refunds of purchased points follow applicable law and store policies; points already spent are not refunded. If a payment is reversed, the corresponding points are deducted, and a negative balance blocks saying hello.
- Points obtained improperly may be reclaimed. Remaining points are forfeited when account deletion takes effect.
Article 8 (User obligations and prohibited conduct)
You must not:
- send spam or advertising, or push others to external contacts or messengers. Contact details and banned words in first messages and intros are blocked automatically;
- commit fraud, ask for money or investments, or phish;
- insult, harass, sexually harass, threaten, or post discriminatory or hateful content;
- post illegal content, infringe others' rights, or impersonate others;
- use the Service as a minor or approach minors;
- sexually exploit or abuse children, create, post, share or request child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or solicit or groom minors. Such accounts are permanently banned without warning and reported to law enforcement (see our Child Safety Standards);
- use automation or crawlers, disrupt the Service, or use it for commercial purposes.
Article 9 (Reports and sanctions)
You can report and block another user from the conversation and intro screens. The Operator reviews reported conversations and may, depending on severity, warn, suspend, force-delete the account, or restrict re-registration by phone number for up to 1 year. A sanctioned user may appeal within 14 days by emailing (to be announced).
Article 10 (Keeping and viewing conversations)
Conversations are kept while the conversation is open. Ended conversations (declined, expired, left, blocked) stay read-only for 30 days and are then deleted. Reported conversations are kept until the report and appeal period are over. Moderators do not read conversations except to handle reports or comply with the law. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Article 11 (Account deletion)
You may request deletion at any time from "6. About" → "[ Delete account ]" in the app, or through the web page if you cannot use the app. Deletion takes effect 30 days after the request; during that period you may cancel but cannot sign up again. Data handling after deletion follows the Privacy Policy.
Article 12 (Changes and interruption of the Service)
The Operator may change the Service or pause it for maintenance with prior notice, or afterwards in urgent cases. Termination of the Service is announced 30 days in advance.
Article 13 (User content)
You are responsible for the intros and messages you write. The Operator may store and display them to the extent needed to provide the Service and handle reports.
Article 14 (Limitation of liability)
- The Operator does not take part in conversations between users or in any meetings or dealings that follow, and is not responsible for their outcome.
- The Operator is not liable for damage caused by events outside its control, such as natural disasters, network failures, or failures of external services (Firebase, app stores).
- For features provided free of charge, the Operator excludes liability to the extent permitted by law.
Article 15 (Governing law and jurisdiction)
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes about the Service are heard by the court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
These terms take effect on 2026-10-08. Contact: (to be announced)
